Assure Your Data Integrity


Designed for mobile deployments requiring basic file exchange between a PC and a mobile computer, MCL-Link Lite is a Windows-based communications server for devices running applications created using MCL-Designer V3.

Many fundamental capabilities are provided by MCL-Link Lite:

  • Send and receive projects, programs, and data files to and from a device

  • Request a device’s MCL-Client version, system date, and free RAM

  • Synchronize the device’s date and time with that of the server

  • Configure settings on the server, such as the host address, communication port address, communications speed, and paths for data collection files, trace data files, and MCL projects.


Why MCL-Link Lite

MCL-Link Lite possesses a subset of the rich feature set available in the commercially available MCL-Link product. Although reduced capability, MCL-Link Lite still provides the same guaranteed delivery that is one of the hallmarks of MCL-Link.

Thanks to the robust MCL-Link ACK/NAK communications protocol, MCL-Link Lite guarantees data delivery between a PC and MCL mobile worker applications running on supported devices.

By contrast, if batch data delivery is not guaranteed, the consequences to an organization can be significant:

  • Sales orders may be lost, resulting in:

    • Lost revenues

    • Unhappy customers

    • Loss of future potential revenues as unhappy customers take their business elsewhere
