Put the Intelligence in the Printer
Run intelligent barcode label printing applications directly on your Datamax printers.
Take advantage of MCL-Client in the printer to control the features of each printer. For example, use the printer’s display to prompt an operator for input from a keyboard, barcode scanner, weight scale or other peripheral. Control the printer’s GPIO interface to control sensors or to send and receive data to and from peripherals. Calculate weight-based prices using input from weight scales and price look-up tables. Print dynamic barcode labels using this variable data. Then, use a barcode scanner to verify the quality of the barcode label you just printed, and take corrective action if the quality is not acceptable.
A key component of MCL-Collection’s thick client/server architecture, MCL-Client runs on the printer and executes the MCL application you create using MCL-Designer or other MCL development tool.
Whether you need batch, real-time, wired, wireless, occasionally connected or continuously connected barcode label printing applications with host access, MCL-Client gives you the device level control and flexibility necessary to drive your barcode label printing operations.
Note: MCL-Client is factory installed on supported Datamax printers.
