Helping You Succeed

Unless stated explicitly otherwise, MCL Technologies products are Windows-based products. However, on special request, for enterprise deployments, we do offer MCL-Link and MCL-Net on Unix platforms.

Each Unix package is a custom build. To make such a custom product, we typically need to know:

• The type of Unix/Linux system to be used — Redhat, Solaris, HPUX or other

• Unix/Linux version

• Number of devices to be connected

• Device communications method to be used — Ethernet, WiFi, GPRS, serial or other

• Number of serial ports required if using serial communications

• If ODBC is required:

  • Which driver will be used?

  • What is the Database type and version?

  • Where will the DB files be stored?

This list is not exhaustive. We may require other information in order to fulfill your specific needs.

MCL Technologies only creates Unix builds of MCL-Link for enterprise roll-outs involving at least 100 servers. The feasibility of making an MCL-Net Unix build depends on the number of servers involved plus the number of concurrent users to be supported by each server.
